My Miracle Monday 14 Weeks!!

How far along? 14 weeks!!
Baby's size? Bean is the size of a lemon! About 3 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 ounces.

Weight Gain? Still down about 3lbs.

Maternity clothes? Finally got my Belly Band and am in love with it. Can’t button my pants anymore and don’t want to buy new ones just yet.

Stretch marks? No.
Belly button in or out? Still in.

Sleep? Sleep is my new favorite hobby. Along with getting up to pee twice a night.

Foods I am loving? Oranges and Pickles

Foods I am hating? Meat!!!

Best moment this week? Going away for the weekend and relaxing.

Movement? None yet that I can feel yet. I can't wait!!

Symptoms? My nose has been stuffy a lot and the longer it lasts the more.

My sense of smell is still unreal. I will smell things that those around me can't even smell.

The trips to the bathroom to pee have slowed down a little.

My boobs are still sore, but they have been really been horrible. They just feel fuller.

And the dreams...oh the dreams! :)

Gender? Still thinking it's a girl. But I have moments where I think it could be a boy.

What I miss? What I miss is nothing in comparison to being pregnant. :)

What I'm looking forward to? Finding out Bean’s gender AND feeling movement!!

Milestones: Being in my 2nd trimester!! Woot Woot!

Emotions: This was a hard week. I had a funeral to attend and pregnancy hormones and funerals do not mix well. Pretty much everything makes me cry these days It doesn’t take much to set me off. Let’s just say the guy at the Madras Taco Time got an ear full yesterday when he didn’t have the hot sauce I wanted. LOL

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

My Miracle Monday 13 Weeks!

How far along? 13 Weeks...2nd trimester!!

Baby's size? Bean is the size of a peach! About 3 inches!

Weight Gain? Down 3lbs

Maternity clothes? Not yet but pants have to be unbuttoned to be comfortable. I can't wait for my Belly Band to arrive.

Stretch marks? No

Sleep? Great except for the frequent trips to the bathroom.

Foods I am loving? Bean Burritos and Pickles of course. I'm craving a lot of other things but since being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes I can't have the majority of them. Small price to pay :) I'll eat when the baby's here.

Foods I am hating? Meat. I already hated red meat before I was pregnant but now all meats make me nauseas which means for lots of eggs and peanut butter for protein :)

Best moment this week? Seeing Bean on the ultrasound, moving all over, at today's doctors apt. I still can't wrap my head around the fact there is a little living person growing inside me. ME. Ahhh...such a miracle.

Movement? I think I can feel little flutters every once in a while but then they say it's too early so it must just be gas bubbles. Can't wait for the real thing!!!

Symptoms? The nausea has pretty much gone and the trips to the bathroom have slightly improved but the tiredness is in full force and if I don't remember to eat on time I am starving. Boobs still hurt but not near as bad.

Gender? Still thinking it's a girl. But, today's ultrasound the heartbeat was 156 bpm so now I'm not as confident. I can't wait for our gender ultrasound. We for sure have a girl’s name picked out but are nowhere near a boy’s name.

What I miss? What I miss is nothing in comparison to being pregnant. :)

What I'm looking forward to? Finding out Bean's gender AND feeling movement!! I can't wait for both.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't stress yourself out over phantom symptoms. More than likely it is nothing.

Milestones: Being in my 2nd trimester!! Woot Woot!

Emotions: Out of control. I almost ran over a J walker at the cross walk and was ready to tell the officer I was completely aware of my actions and the guy should have known better than to walk out in front of a pregnant lady. And, cry at everything on TV. Most of which I am 100% certain is not sad in any way :)

Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.

What a year it's been so far.....

Well.......  I'm sure you've been wondering what I've been up to since my last post.  IN DECEMBER!!  Agghhhh what a bad blogger I've been.  Please forgive me.  Here is a little of what I've been up to.

Dec 28th 2010:
Third round of Clomid shows progesterone level at 3.4 meaning my husband has a better chance of ovulating than I do.  Decide to go back on birth control pills and try to lose more weight so in an attempt to jump start ovulation naturally.

Jan 14th 2011:
Fill birth control prescription.

Jan 15th 2011:
Decide to take a HPT just to make sure I'm not pregnant (yeah right) but will feel better before popping my first pill to see yet another stark snow white negative.  This is what I saw....

OMG! OMG! OMG!  Can this really be happening right now?  But I didn't ovulate right?

Jan 16th 2011:
Pregnancy confirmed by doctors P test.

Jan 17th 2011:
First beta 1395 :)  WOW!!  Last time we tested this early it was at 32.  Major difference and instead of the doctors telling us it was a non viable pregnancy she said "pregnancy confirmed" :)

Jan 20th 2011:
Second beta 3651, numbers rising prefectly :)  Still in shock

Jan 27th 2011:
First Ultrasound get to see Baby Beans little heart beating away at 122 bpm. Measuring 5w6d

Feb 4th 2011:
Second Ultrasound get to see Baby Bean's heart beating away 180 bpm and get to hear it for the first time.  Music to our ears.  Also got to see a little bit of a wiggle :)

Mar 3rd 2011:
Get to see Baby Bean again. This time B was very active.  Jumping all over the place and waving at us.  It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.  Got to hear the heart beat again and it was going strong at 175bpm.  I feel like it's a girl and the high heartbeats seem to be confirming it.  Of course I know that is just a wives tale but I have a 50% chance of being right :) LOL

Profile Pic :)

My mom thinks B's smiling in this one :)

Sooooo..... that is what we have been up to since the New Year.  I am so excited to reach twelve weeks on Monday and can't wait to experience all that pregnancy has to bring.  To all of those who are still struggling with infertility I am so sorry and I do not forget the journey we have been on.  I know that you are going through so much and you are in my heart and prayers.
